A saved link, drawn as a card: a paragraph whose whole content is one link that carries its own address as its label.
<https://example.com/>
The card is a shape a reader infers, never a marker an author writes. Canonical
form is the autolink spelling above; [https://example.com/](https://example.com/)
is the same paragraph and canonicalises to it.
Nothing of the target is stored — no cached title, no cached picture, no fetched description. The card is drawn from the address every time.
Anything less exact is an ordinary paragraph, unchanged in the file: a link
with a label of its own, a link with a title, a second link beside it, words
around it, or a bare address the author simply typed. A self-titled link
carrying <!--sb button="…"--> is a button — a statement an
author made beats a shape a reader inferred.
Fallback: a working link that navigates. This is the class of construct fallback strategies prefers over a directive that only decorates.
